I felt a bit seasick after reading this book. The story bopped between WAY too many characters. I am not even sure who the main characters of this story were supposed to be. Was it Brantley and Reese? After all the series is named after Brantley. Was it JJ and Sebastian (Baz)? And let us not forget about the little tidbits we got from Dante, Travis, Gage, Trey, Juliet, and Magnus. Have I forgotten anyone? I do not feel like there was any substantial forward progress in the series. Yes, I am left wondering what will happen next for all these characters. But why did all of this have to be in book? If the author were to take out all the other character tidbits and focused mainly on Brantley and Reese this book would probably have been only 10 chapters long. I would not consider this to be a full-length novel simply because there are too many characters telling their stories. I think this book qualifies as one like the Holidays with the Walker Brothers where all or most of the brothers were in it. I’m left with this over-whelming urge to take a Dramamine.I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
